Three X delivers electrifying results for Mimram Site Services

Leeds, UK, 05 June 2008 – Specialist electrical services company Mimram Site Services is gaining a huge range of benefits from innovative mobile engineer management solutions from Masternaut Three X. By using Masternaut Three X web based vehicle tracking and X Service service management application, Mimram is able to run a slick paperless operation and keep in touch with its busy team of mobile engineers in real time.

Working throughout the south and south east of the UK, Mimram uses X Service to support and manage the full range of administration tasks necessary to run an efficient responsive company, including timesheets, service sheets, purchase orders and job sheets. The easy to use online service simply sends the mobile engineers their tasks to their O2 Orbit handheld devices, allowing them to receive accurate and up to the minute job information.

By using the PDA, each engineer can update the office to inform them of when they arrive on site, the work done and note any special or additional jobs they had to do once they arrived at the customer's site. The service is proving extremely useful for communicating other essential job information such as the location of the nearest supplier to the customer’s site. This means materials can be sourced immediately without the need to make numerous phone calls, allowing the engineer to get the job done quicker.

Once a job is completed the Mimram engineer signs off the job on the PDA and is also able to request sign off from the site supervisor. This enables speedier raising and delivery of invoices to the customer, which benefits the company's sales processing and cashflow.

Integrated with Masternaut vehicle tracking, the service enables the accounts department to accurately prepare the payroll. Masternaut logs the arrival of the engineer on site and how long they remain there doing the job.

According to Sarah Ward, Office and Accounts Manager, Mimram: “Payroll accuracy is now undisputed. We have accurate realtime information, which streamlines the whole wages operation. The service also enables us to build comprehensive job records showing the exact time of arrival of our engineers, the time taken for the job, whether or not they had to perform extra work, materials used and so on.”

The Masternaut service also keeps on top of Congestion Charges for engineers working in London. The service simply sends an email to Mimram and this enables the accounts department to make the payment and avoid fines.
